ALEX HULL

Alex jams as much as she can into each day. This Queenstown native is one of One Studio's favorite athletes. She is so easy to work with and a ton of fun to be around. The current New Zealand overall Series winner, she is not quite so easy to beat on the race course.

When she is not travelling to compete on the mountains of North America Alex spends the summer training and competing as a member of the Wakatipu rowing club. If you like a lie in then rowing's not the sport for you. Alex is up for the summer sunrise over lake Hayes and watches the winter sun come up standing on her skis at Rocky Gully up on Coronet Peak her home mountain.

Alex enjoys standing on a ski racing podium far more than she likes getting up early for training but that dedication and commitment pays dividends in her results. Her New Zealand titles and podium results in Canada and California have been the reward for her focus and determination.

After a devastating ACL injury in her first FIS year and the resulting rehab meant that she missed out on most of the 2017 season. Alex came back strong to competitive ski racing and won the 2018 NZ National Women's Championship trophy for her combined results in Slalom, GS and Super G. A perfect result to set her up for another winter in the USA and an eye on the prize at the 2019 Junior World Ski Championships in Italy.

Favorite One Studio clothing; "My race suit because it is custom designed, I love wearing it and it feels super comfortable and fast."

Is it good to have input into the design of your competition clothing?

"Yes because it means you can alter the design and have your preferences and input to make you love the suit and feel speedy and confident while competing in it."

Where's your favourite place to ski:"Coronet Peak to train on because it is my home mountain and full of exciting terrain and challenges."

Best experience on the snow: "So far, it has been Whistler Cup, Canada because it was the biggest race I have competed in and it was an amazing first experience in an international race and be a part of a NZ team."

Who inspires you: "Mikaela Shiffrin, my coaches and my teammates."
