WILL CASHMORE

One Studio’s go to guy if we need a race suit or pair of pants thrash tested. Will started skiing at 2 and racing at 8. He still doesn’t get why it’s not winter all the time.

Will lives at the beach in the warm north of New Zealand so to get to the mountains he's got to travel and he definitely gets around. Laid back and easy going this North Auckland kid from the coast has got friends in high places all over the world. His alpine family of racers, coaches, competitors and best mates love having him to stay, train and race against. He's a funny bugger, but his race face is pretty serious.

He’s already been New Zealand National u14 Champion; GS and Slalom 2015 (at the ripe old age of 13).
Will represented New Zealand at the Whistler Cup in Canada, two top ten results in GS and slalom.
He’s won youth races in Switzerland and the USA. Will has stood on the podium at some of Europe's premier youth races.

The 2017 Southern hemisphere season started with his first FIS races. Will got stuck in and scored down into double digit FIS points in his first GS race. He didn't muck around and as he leaves youth racing behind he is developing into a powerful and competitive ski racer.

He's spending the Kiwi winters in Queenstown and went on to win the New Zealand U21 title in 2018.

Will has spent the last 2 winters in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and is studying engineering while racing for the Colorado Mountain College ski team in the Division-1 NCAA circuit in the US.

He is determined and focused and we reckon he’s got a big future ahead of him (probably as a diplomat at the UN).

His second home, Mt. Ruapehu, is an active volcano.

Favorite One Studio gear: “My speed suit, I don’t wear it often but when I do its race day.”

Is it good to have input into the design of your competition clothing:
“Who wouldn't prefer to ski in a perfect fit, personalised ski suit?”

Favourite place to ski and why: “Ruapehu on a good day is golden.”

Best experience on the snow: “Whistler Cup 2015, travelling with a bunch of mates to a new place that has been transformed to be all about ski racing.”

Who inspires you: “Carlo Janka, no doubt.”

Anything else you want to say to the team at One; “Keep pumping out the amazing gear.”
